Molnar BBC Connecting Rods

Molnar Technologies H Beam BBC rods are machined from billet 4340 steel, and then heat treated to provide improved strength. To make the rods even stronger, they are shot peened which also increases fatigue life. All Molnar BBC connecting rods are fitted with highly durable premium bronze bushings for use with floating pin type pistons. Each rod set for the Chevrolet big block engines includes ARP fasteners, lubricant and installation guidelines.

All Molnar big block Chevy rods are finished in the United States at the Molnar Technologies shop in Michigan. Critical rod dimensions are are held to very precise tolerances of +/- .0001 of an inch, which is the tightest tolerance you will find in the performance and racing aftermarket.

Molnar Power Adder Plus BBC Rods

For use in Big Block Chevy engines, stock stroke and stroker using a crankshaft with a 2.200 rod journal size. Also for use in some other make engines using aftermarket crankshaft designed to work with big block Chevy connecting rods.

The Molnar PWR ADR PLUS™ series of rods is designed specifically for use in extremely high boost supercharged and twin turbo engines as well as those using very large nitrous systems.

    Hello Jon,

    At this time the only BBC rods we have that use the 2.100 rod journal are 6.135 and 6.385 long.

    For your BBC 2.1 rod journal, are you just using a standard SBC large journal bearing or do you have to purchase a wider bearing and if so where are they purchased from? Thanks.

    Thank you for visiting our site and taking the time to ask your question.

    Those rods take a standard 2.100 small block chevy journal size bearing. They do not require a special bearing.

    So for example you can use a Clevite CB-663H or any equivalent part number bearing.
