Buick 400 430 455 Connecting Rods

Molnar Big Block Buick Rods

Molnar Technologies H Beam rods are machined from billet 4340 steel, and then heat treated to provide improved strength. To make the rods even stronger, they are shot peened too which also increases fatigue life. All Molnar connecting rods are fitted with highly durable premium bronze bushings for use with full floating pin type pistons. Each rod set for the Buick big block engines includes ARP2000 series fasteners which are a Molnar Technologies proprietary design, assembly lubricant and installation guidelines.

The 400, 430 and Buick 455 connecting rods listed on this page are available for engines using a stock stroke crankshaft, as well as for offset ground and aftermarket stroker cranks. If you have any questions about which rod set is correct for your application please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

All Molnar rods are finished in the United States at the Molnar Technologies shop in Michigan. Critical rod dimensions are are held to very precise tolerances of +/- .0001 of an inch, which is the tightest tolerance you will find in the performance and racing aftermarket.

    Can rods
BH6600WUB8-A be made with a length of 6.625?
    Sid

  2. molnarrods says:

    Hello Sidney,

The length change would require a custom rod as the basic core can not be simply altered to the longer length. We can supply a custom set with all other specs the same, but just the center to center length change if that is what you need.

If you go custom, other specifications can be altered as well if you need something different.

If you would like more info on a custom set please contact us and we will be happy to help you.

Thank you for checking with us.

  3. This would save a lot of machine work if you decide to make them I need a set

  4. molnarrods says:
